Top Ten Tuesday (#20): Top Ten Books I Read In One Sitting

toptentuesday2

Still so happy that this meme is back! I really do enjoy this one the most, and this week has proven to be another fun list to compile! Top ten books I read in one sitting…and it should come as no surprise that most of these are comics, graphic novels, and manga, haha. I’m really not a fast reader, so it’s very rare for me to get through a full book in only one sitting! There’s a lot more adulting to do nowadays too, so that definitely interrupts the “one sitting” status most often. But anyway, I hope that you enjoy this week’s list, and happy reading to you all!

For those of you who don’t know what Top Ten Tuesday is all about, here is a quote from The Broke and the Bookish, the genuises behind this weekly meme!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list  that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post and, if you want to, add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s posts (typically put up midnight EST on Tuesday) so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It’s a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

And now that all of the necessary stuff is out of the way, here goes! ….again!

  1. I’m a slower reader as well so I haven’t read all that many books in one sitting, but I did with a few of the Series of Unfortunate Events books, as well as We Were Liars.

    1. Yesss, I could see how some of the Series books would only take one sitting. I’ve only read the first book so far, but from the sounds of it, I’d probably plow through the other ones as well! Also, I keep hearing about We Were Liars…but I don’t know if you crybaby heart could handle it, haha.

    1. It was definitely quite intense! The whole series in general was, but the second and third books especially. I remember I read all 3 books in a little less than 2 days? Haha. Thanks for your comment, and I’ll be sure to check out your TTT post!

  2. I read the first two or three volumes of ‘Saga’ when I was working in Germany one summer. My boss lent me them and I read each volume in one sitting. Definitely going to have to go back to it!

    1. Oh for sure! I read one volume and I was hooked way before the end. Then I grabbed the rest from the library and just binge-read them, haha. Such a good series! I hope you get to read more soon 🙂

    1. For sure! I wasn’t sure what was going on with the title, but it all makes sense when you read it! I wouldn’t say it’s a typical comic from what I’ve read comic-wise so far…but that isn’t a lot, so my opinion probably doesn’t count for anything, haha.

Thanks for reading and commenting, and I’ll be sure to check out your post!

  3. “Adultish ” endeavors do tend to get in the way of extended reading periods. I look back with fondness to lazy summer days in the South, trying to stay cool with a Coke with lots of ice and devouring Nancy Drew books and other treasures from the library.

    1. Oh, definitely. I try to be as irresponsible as possible and keep reading, but it doesn’t work, haha. And I really miss lazy summer days. We’re experiencing “second winter” here in Canada, when I wish I could be working outside while soaking up some sun….or even better, be reading outside while soaking up some sun.

  4. I read fantastic beasts and The Little Prince all in one sitting too such amazing books 🙂 I completely didn’t realise TTT was back XD planning on joining in next week though, great list!

    1. Yesss they’re both soo good! I didn’t UNDERSTAND The Little Prince the first time I read it, when I was very small, but did when I re-read it, haha. And yes it’s so back! I’m so happy about it. Hope you get to join next week!

      1. I only read the Little Prince for the first time last year and I was a bit 0.0 that it was a childrens book, I can completely understand how it is but it’s just so complex!
