It’s Tuesday again and it’s time for the very last Top Ten Tuesday of 2016! Ahhhh! I can’t believe that it’ll be 2017 then next time I write one of these! Happy New Year to all of you, and may 2017 be filled with amazing people and experiences for you!
For those of you who don’t know, here is a quote from The Broke and the Bookish, the genuises behind this weekly meme!
Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post and, if you want to, add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s posts (typically put up midnight EST on Tuesday) so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It’s a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.
Aaaaand this week’s prompt is:
Top Ten Best Books (Which I Read In) 2016!
I wonder if this will be like most of my other Top Ten Tuesday posts, where I have a harder time sticking to just 10 books, rather than having a hard time finding enough books to put on the list! Let’s see, shall we?! (PS. My top 10 lists are never listed in any particular order, and are always posted in a random sequence!) Oh, and also, since I spent the entire day doing physical labour at my in-laws’ new property, I will just be posting the book covers. I’ve also already discussed most, if not all, of these books already anyway, so I hope you all don’t mind! Here goes!
Great choices! I included The Diabolic on my TTT this week too. I haven’t read any of the others, but I’m really hoping I’ll get to Cinder pretty soon!
Here’s my TTT if you’re interested and haven’t seen it yet: https://kourtnireads.wordpress.com/2016/12/27/top-ten-books-of-2016/
Ohhh awesome! So glad that The Diabolic has made it onto your top 10 for 2016 as well! And I hope that you read Cinder soon because it’s GOOD!
Also, checking out your TTT right now! 😀
Haha that’s what I keep hearing! I can’t tell you how many people have told me to read Cinder haha I swear I’ll get to that series in 2017.
I’ve actually read a few of the books on this list! I always get terribly excited when that happens, but I’ve been wanting to read Monstress!
Haha I get excited when that happens to! And you should! It’s a great story and the art is beautiful!
Haha – glad I’m not riding solo with that quirk. Done! I was already sold with that graphic novel but knowing it’s as good as it looks makes it a definite yes lol.
I think I need to keep better notes of the books I read, because 2016 has become a bit of a blur! Hard to believe the year is almost gone already, though I know a lot of people will be looking forward to a fresh start in 2017.
Haha I usually use Goodreads to kind of orient myself, because there is no way that I could keep track of everything that I’ve read in my head 😛
I’ve been meaning to keep a reading journal, but…eh… haha
And yes, 2016 kind of dragged along, and passed by really quickly at the same time. I had an alright year, but I wouldn’t mind 2017 being better! 😀
Monstress looks gorgeous! Been meaning to add more graphic novels to my TBR list, so definitely adding this one!
My TTT
Monstress IS gorgeous! I’m so glad that you plan on reading it! I just recommend that you don’t do so late at night if you’re a scaredy-cat like me 😛 All of the art is quite lovely though, even the bits I consider scary 😛
Love this list <3 <3 Wonderful choices x x
[…] Top Ten Tuesday (#12) […]
Your welcome 🙂 🙂 x x
For some reason, I was a thinking about A Tale of Two Cities recently, wondering if it is really as good as I thought it was when I read it in school. I’m glad to see it on your list; perhaps I should revisit it some day.
I would definitely recommend re-reading it 🙂 I know I will!
