To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han (Readalong Announcement Post & Sign-Up)

It’s been so long since I hosted one of these! The last readalong that I hosted was for Six of Crows, and it started in December 2017 and ended in January of this year! So, wow, it’s really been a while. I am super happy to be hosting another one though, especially for a book that’s been on my TBR for quite some time. For those of you who haven’t heard, the rights to Jenny Han’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before were bought by Netflix, and their film adaptation of the book comes out on August 17. So, I thought that it was finally time to read the book, and I had a feeling that a lot of you might feel the same! I ran some polls and with over 80% of those who voted saying they’re interested … here we are! Please be sure to read everything carefully, and I hope that you’ll join us!

What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them… all at once?

Sixteen-year-old Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she’s ever loved—five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.

    1. Hehe same! But then I decided to just go for it AND see if others will join me 😀 And I’m so happy to see what you’ll be reading and discussing this book with me! Yay! 😀

    1. Me too! And I’m so happy that you’re joining meeeee! And thank you! 🙂 You actually reminded me that I wanted to make a form where participants can submit questions that they want me to use in the discussion posts! 😀

    1. Ohh that’s strange! The schedule is right above the purchase links. But I can let you know in here! We’re going to start reading tomorrow, but will have the first discussion on August 1st since 30% of potential participants have said that they need more time to buy or borrow the book, and I want everyone to be on the same page (pun intended, haha) by the first discussion 🙂 Please let me know if you have any questions!

      1. Yeah I see where it said Read-a-long Schedule but the actual schedule isn’t showing up for me. That’s ok though unfortunately I’m not going to be able to join because I’ve already got plans for this week.

        1. Oh that’ so weird! I’m sorry about that! And the first discussion isn’t until next Wednesday, but I completely understand! Hopefully you can join the next readalong 🙂 Happy reading!

  1. I actually just bought this book so that I could read it before the movie came out. I wasn’t sure when I was going to read it though so this is perfect timing! I’m really excited for this readalong 🙂

  2. Ahhh thank you so much for creating this!! I’ve been meaning to read it due to the movie coming out but haven’t gotten to it yet. I have the entire series already, ready to binge and I’ve had a rough time choosing which book I should read next so this is absolutely perfect timing! I’m excited to join 😀

    1. Hehehe that’s the reason why I decided to do a readalong! I wanted to read it before the movie, but needed more motivation to do it. Plus I love reading books together with people 😀 and I’m soooo happy you’re joining in, Savannah! <3

  3. I’m really looking forward to the movie & I’m still on the fence about rereading To All The Boys But either way, I still just wanted to say its so cool your putting together this read-along!! (& I love the graphic)

    1. Awe well if you do decide to reread the book, you’re welcome to join us! And if you opt for just watching the movie, you’re also welcome to join in the movie discussion at the end of the readalong 😀 And awe thank you so much!!! <3
