Musing Monday (#15)

monday (1).jpg

I was sad to have to miss last week’s Musing Monday question as I didn’t have enough time for any meme posts. But I do have time this week, so hurray!

ezgif-1545491241For those of you who don’t know, Musing Mondays is hosted by the awesome Ambrosia every Monday. This is a book blog meme where participants have to answer one of the pre-set prompts of (I’m currently reading…; Up next I think I’ll read…; I bought the following book(s) in the past week…; I’m super excited to tell you about (book/author/bookish-news)…; I’m really upset by (book/author/bookish-news)…; I can’t wait to get a copy of…; I wish I could read ___, but…; OR I blogged about ____ this past week…). And you also have to answer an additional random question which is different every week!

This week I’ll be answering one of the weekly prompts, before answering the random question for this week…

I’m super excited to tell you about:

My friend Melanie‘s YouTube channel! She’d been toying with the idea of starting one a for a bit, and I’m glad that she finally did! On this channel she not only discusses book-related topics, but a many number of other things! You guys should definitely check it out and subscribe!

Here is my favourite of her videos:

Her bloopers are really funny! So, make sure to watch to the end (and watch her other videos too, hehehe)

The other thing which I am excited to tell you guys about is that our second monthly posts for our blog event Calendar Girls will be going live in just a little over a week! All are welcome to join us, and you can learn more about the event here! You can also see our January posts here and here! For those of you planning to join us, please remember that posts will be going live on February 1st (but that you can also post your posts throughout the rest of February if you can’t make it for the 1st). And also to please comment with a link to your post on either Melanie’s Calendar Girls February post or my own!

Also, just a reminder that the February theme is:

❤ BEST ROMANCE IN YA ❤

Note: What we mean by this theme is the best YA romance of all time (not just 2016 or something), in your opinion! And we also mean all sexualities and genders! This should be fun 😉

And now I will be answering this week’s random question:

What is your preferred reading format?

ezgif-793505827And this question is very easy for me to answer. Definitely, positutely, 100% physical book format. While I used to prefer paperback, I now prefer both paperback and hardcover. I do read some books on my Kobo or my boyfriend’s iPad on the occasion, but my most preferred format is, and always will be, a physical book which I can hold, and read, (and smell….I mean…what?)!

THANK YOU FOR READING MY POST! I HOPE THAT YOU ENJOY MELANIE’S VIDEOS, AND ALSO THAT YOU WILL JOIN CALENDAR GIRLS! ALSO, I’D LIKE TO KNOW WHAT YOUR PREFERRED READING FORMAT IS! DO YOU HAVE ONE PREFERRED FORMAT? MULTIPLE? OR DO YOU SIMPLY NOT HAVE A PREFERENCE? LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW!

    1. Hahaha I’m glad to help! And I hope it’s not too much work! This event is supposed to be fun 😉

And that’s good! I don’t HATE e-books, I just don’t love them, haha. And I wasn’t a big fan of audiobooks until recently. I’ve been listening to some while doing work which doesn’t require reading or writing 🙂 and I’m so happy to be able to “read” in that way, while at work hahaha

  1. Lol. For the Calendar Girls post, I was literally asking in my mind, is it just for 2016 or all time…scrolled down literally two clicks more and there were my answer. XD Can’t wait for it, and great post! 🙂

    1. Haha I’m so glad I was able to answer that question for you! We figured some participants might assume we meant 2016, since January’s theme was about 2016. 🙂

Thanks so much for reading and I look forward to seeing your February post for Calendar Girls! 😀

  2. I love physical books BUT I have found one thing that I prefer about e-books. I read a book recently that I wanted to share passages frequently and it is not easy to do with a paper book.
