– MY REVIEW –

It took me a very long time to get through this comic, and even longer to process it and finally write this review. This is basically a compilation of short comics, told/illustrated by numerous artists in response, or dedicated, to the lives lost in Orlando. Every single story in this collection was truly heart-wrenching, and I could not read more than 2 or 3 at a time because I would start crying and would be unable to see the illustrations anymore.

Projects like this one are so precious, and so so important. This comic was a form of mourning those who were lost, as well as encouraging the rest of us who are left alive in this world, that we need to cherish and appreciate each other. Hate begets more hate, and violence, and loss. And finally, this comic really drove home the fact that love should be celebrated, protected, and valued, as well as the truth that love is love, no matter either of the lovers’ genders, skin colours, orientations, religions, etc. etc.

I highly recommend this comic for those who enjoy comic books and graphic novels, as well as those who support love and peaceful coexistence between humans, rather than separation and hatred. Just be aware, that this compilation will shatter your heart to pieces.
