Secret Identities.
Extraordinary Powers.
She wants vengeance. He wants justice.
The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies—humans with extraordinary abilities—who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone…except the villains they once overthrew.
Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice—and in Nova. But Nova’s allegiance is to a villain who has the power to end them both.

So sorry I could not join as this is one I plan to read …someday.
Awe no worries Sophie! It happens!
I feel like this portion of the book moved a little slower than the first portion. I did like how things developed though! I like infiltration plots, and the Renegade trials were fun to read about. I would have liked for there to be more trials…but I’m sure the book won’t lack in action even without that, and I understand why the author might have chosen not to make that be a more important aspect or sub-plot of the book. Overall, I’m definitely enjoying this book, and would probably be done with reading it already, if I wasn’t too busy to read most days!
How’s everyone else doing? And what did you think of this quarter of the book?!
I agree. This part wasn’t as exciting as the beginning but it was still great. I kept getting nervous when Nova was at Renegades HQ. I thought she was going to get caught for sure. I also forgot that she saw Adrian before she dressed as Nightmare at the parade when he fixed her bracelet. So I was like omg he knows who she really is!!! But he just remembered her as a girl at the parade so I’m loving this book so far!
Haha that’s too funny! The scene with the bracelet at the parade kind of stuck with me, but I could have seen the same thing happening to me otherwise! Lol. I love the book so far too! And I’m excited to discuss the next portion, since that one is considerably more exciting! This quarter was 100% the calm before the storm 😉
