It’s been a while since I participated in one of these, and that makes me sad. But I’ve been busy, and I guess I wasn’t really inspired by any of the lists that I came up with using the prompts from the last few weeks. I just feel like those lists featured books that I’ve already talked a lot about. I didn’t want to be repetitive, so I just opted for not posting those top 10 lists. This week’s prompt, however, is perfect for the romantic in me, and is also perfect for the day before Valentine’s Day!
For those of you who don’t know what Top Ten Tuesday is all about, here is a quote from The Artsy Reader Girl, the genuises behind this weekly meme!
I assign each Tuesday a topic and then post my top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join me and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.
You’ll find the schedule of upcoming TTT topics below so you can plan ahead. I’ll post a Linky here on the blog each week so you can link up your post (if you want). If you don’t have a blog, post your picks in the comment section below! Have tons of fun talking books and getting to know your fellow bloggers!
…and now that all of the necessary stuff is out of the way….
I love the romance in The Star-Touched Queen- it’s a beautiful relationship.
I couldn’t agree more! <3
I have My Lady Jane, but haven’t read it yet. This reminds me I need to read it soon!
Ahhh I loved that book! It was super funny and sweet 🙂
*fangirling over your choice of gif*
YASSS PERCY AND MONTY <3 <3
Hehehe right?! That’s one of my favourite kisses, so I HAD TO! 😀 <3
And yesssss love those 2 to pieces!
Tatiana and Alexander in The Bronze Horseman! OMG THE FEELS. Also, I love Wavy and Kellen in All the Ugly and Wonderful Things, but it is a little more (a lot more) controversial. From your list, Feyre and Rhys are obvious, haha, and of course Elizabeth and Darcy. Swoon.
Oooooo I’m writing these down! 😀 Thanks for reading my post and commenting! <3
I actually haven’t read any of the books on your list! But I own a lot of them, and your TTT is a great testimonial ♥
I like romance in books, but I really hate insta-love. I am a huge fan of hate-to-love and slow burn romances, though.
My TTT is here: http://www.bluestockingbookworm.com/top-ten-tuesday-february-13-2018/ (but be warned… I named couples and there may be spoilers)
Ahhhh I hope that you get to read them all soon! <3
And yeah I don't like insta-love either! It's just not realistic, and totally throws off my reading experience with a book. I love hate-to-love and slow burn plots as well. Hehehe.
I'll check out your TTT now and thanks for the spoiler warning! 😀
October made the list!!! Yayyyy!
YESSSSS! Of course October made the list 😉
I loved ACOMAF! So many people have been mentioning Gentleman’s Guide this week, I really need to get myself a copy of that one!
My TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2018/02/13/top-ten-tuesday-146/
Yaaay so glad you loved it too! And yessss it was my fave book of 2017! So I definitely recommend it 😉
🙂
Totally agree with Jane and G, and Henry and Percy they give me all the feels. Great post Flavia!!! 😀
Yaaay! And thank you! 😀 <3
I love romance in books, as long as it’s healthy, well-developed and doesn’t take over the plot (unless the romance IS the plot of course!) haha 😛 Definitely agree with The Gentleman’s Guide – Monty and Percy are one of my new OTPs 🙂
Those are some very valid points! I completely agree with you. Romance does have to be healthy, and realistic for me as well. And yaaaaay so glad you’re a Month and Percy fan! Did you see that they revealed the cover for the next book, about Percy’s sister?!
Yes! It’s beautiful and I can’t wait for it to come out 😀
Yesss! Same!
Yes to 1 and 2!! I am looking forward to 3 and 5!
Yaaaay glad you liked 1 & 2! And aaaaah 3 was my number one book of last year, and 5 was in my top 10 (if not my top 5)!
Did you hear about the sequel to A Gentleman’s Guide?? I really want to read it, but now I wonder if I should wait for the sequel and binge both! Lol.
Yeeees! I’ve been excited for it ever since I found out there would be one. I saw that they had the cover reveal for it too 😀 and hehe it’s up to youuu! <3
I loved My Lady Jane. 🙂
Lauren @ Always Me
Yesss that one was so good! Can’t wait to read My Plain Jane!
