Top Ten Tuesday #40: Top Ten Favourite/Most Satisfying Romantic Plots/Couples

It’s been a while since I participated in one of these, and that makes me sad. But I’ve been busy, and I guess I wasn’t really inspired by any of the lists that I came up with using the prompts from the last few weeks. I just feel like those lists featured books that I’ve already talked a lot about. I didn’t want to be repetitive, so I just opted for not posting those top 10 lists. This week’s prompt, however, is perfect for the romantic in me, and is also perfect for the day before Valentine’s Day!

For those of you who don’t know what Top Ten Tuesday is all about, here is a quote from  The Artsy Reader Girl, the genuises behind this weekly meme!

I assign each Tuesday a topic and then post my top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join me and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.

You’ll find the schedule of upcoming TTT topics below so you can plan ahead. I’ll post a Linky here on the blog each week so you can link up your post (if you want). If you don’t have a blog, post your picks in the comment section below! Have tons of fun talking books and getting to know your fellow bloggers!

  1. Tatiana and Alexander in The Bronze Horseman! OMG THE FEELS. Also, I love Wavy and Kellen in All the Ugly and Wonderful Things, but it is a little more (a lot more) controversial. From your list, Feyre and Rhys are obvious, haha, and of course Elizabeth and Darcy. Swoon.

    1. Ahhhh I hope that you get to read them all soon! <3

And yeah I don't like insta-love either! It's just not realistic, and totally throws off my reading experience with a book. I love hate-to-love and slow burn plots as well. Hehehe.

I'll check out your TTT now and thanks for the spoiler warning! 😀

  2. I love romance in books, as long as it’s healthy, well-developed and doesn’t take over the plot (unless the romance IS the plot of course!) haha 😛 Definitely agree with The Gentleman’s Guide – Monty and Percy are one of my new OTPs 🙂

    1. Those are some very valid points! I completely agree with you. Romance does have to be healthy, and realistic for me as well. And yaaaaay so glad you’re a Month and Percy fan! Did you see that they revealed the cover for the next book, about Percy’s sister?!

        1. Yeeees! I’ve been excited for it ever since I found out there would be one. I saw that they had the cover reveal for it too 😀 and hehe it’s up to youuu! <3
