Happy Wednesday, everyone! I am very happy to announce that I’ll be participating in a brand new meme on Wednesdays, titled I Heart Characters! It’s hosted by Dani @ Perspective of a Writer, and here is the information post if you want to learn more about the meme. I think it’s cool that we’re allowed to participate on whichever day of the week that we choose, because I needed a meme for Wednesdays, but just couldn’t find one that would hold my attention. The Conqueror Saga by Kiersten White
No one expects a princess to be brutal. And Lada Dragwlya likes it that way. Ever since she and her gentle younger brother, Radu, were wrenched from their homeland of Wallachia and abandoned by their father to be raised in the Ottoman courts, Lada has known that being ruthless is the key to survival. She and Radu are doomed to act as pawns in a vicious game, an unseen sword hovering over their every move. For the lineage that makes them special also makes them targets.
Lada despises the Ottomans and bides her time, planning her vengeance for the day when she can return to Wallachia and claim her birthright. Radu longs only for a place where he feels safe. And when they meet Mehmed, the defiant and lonely son of the sultan, Radu feels that he’s made a true friend—and Lada wonders if she’s finally found someone worthy of her passion.
But Mehmed is heir to the very empire that Lada has sworn to fight against—and that Radu now considers home. Together, Lada, Radu, and Mehmed form a toxic triangle that strains the bonds of love and loyalty to the breaking point.

Yaaay! And I agree. I didn’t know I needed this meme until Dani created it hehe
You clearly made me want to read this book . Great post 🙂
Yaaay! I hope that you enjoy it! I’m kind of biased since the heroine is based on Vlad the Impaler, who is a hero in my country, Romania, (and more so my region, Transylvania) hehe!
Oooh I love Female Warriors! I haven’t read The Conqueror Saga but Lada sounds awesome 😀 great choice!
She is super badass! And she’s based on Vlad the Impaler (aka she is Vlad but female hehe), who is a hero in Transylvania, where I’m born 😉
oooh I LOVE Lada!! She is such a warrior, even battling her own feelings! She actually also helped her brother to become the person he is due to her brutal nature. <3 I'm so, so happy you participated Flavia!

Yaaaay! I’m so glad you’ll be participating as well! 😀
This is such a great meme!
Also, this casting is SUPERB omg!! I usually cast Anna Popplewell for Lada but I never thought she was perfect. Your Natalia casting is spot-on!
Isn’t it?! Such a fun meme.
Also thank youuu! I think the eyebrows do it for me haha. I think Lada’s face bone structure isn’t quite as delicate as Natalia’s…but it’s close. And oooo I like Anna Popplewell for her too!
