⤖ My Review ⬻
I’ve always been the kind of person who wants to learn more about other cultures, religions, countries, peoples, etc. So, when I came across Happy Llamakkah! I thought that it would be a good opportunity (as well as a fun opportunity) for me to familiarize myself a bit more with the Jewish tradition (since I haven’t had much exposure to it and want to learn more). I really like llamas, so I was already drawn to Happy Llamakkah! for this reason as well.
Additionally, the illustrations are super cute and colourful and made me want to keep flipping the pages. As someone who didn’t know much about Hanukkah, I found that this book was a nice little intro to this Jewish festival. I definitely recommend Happy Llamakkah! whether you know a lot about the festival or very little, whether you’re Jewish or not! I also think that it’s very important for children to be exposed to other cultures, religions, etc. from a very young age and am on the lookout for more picture books like this.
