How we met: I found out about Craftedvan’s instagram sometime in April or May because their bookmarks were advertised on @owlcrate’s Instagram (I think). That, or Owlcrate had used items from Craftedvan in one or some of their previous crates. In either case, I browsed Craftedvan’s Instagram and then their Etsy store, and fell in love with their coffee cup bookmark! I decided to purchase it for myself, as well as a shark bookmark for my best friend, as her birthday was coming up and she loves sharks.
Our time together: I have now had this bookmark for move than half a year now, and although I have used it in almost every book I have read since I purchased it, it has not become worn or damaged at all. The colours have remained crisp, and there are no bends or breaks at all. The material which they use for their bookmarks appears to be something like the stock used for photographs (I’m no expert, so I don’t know the exact term for it), and it’s flexible but also tough, so that it won’t bend and become damaged unless you mean to bend or rip it on purpose.
I love this bookmark so much, that when I forgot it in a book which I had borrowed from the library and then returned to the library, I called them up and put every single edition of that book on hold so that no one could borrow the book in which my bookmark was in and take it! Luckily, we were reunited, and no one had harmed my cute little bookmark.
Since purchasing it, this bookmark has traveled with me to friends’ cottages, to my in-laws “up north” (Northern Ontario), and even across the Atlantic to Europe! It has kept me company during long car rides, long flights, through the long hallways of many airports, and it still looks the same as on the day when I received it in the mail.
I will definitely be purchasing items from Craftedvan in the future, and have been planning on teaming up with them for a giveaway. Highly recommended vendor!
Thank you for reading my review! Also, I would appreciate any feedback you could give me about the layout of the review itself, as this is a newly launched project, and this is the first bookish review on this blog! Thank you and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
omg I want >_<
Isn’t it the cutest?!
That bookmark is so freaking cute! And wow does it last a long time!
Isn’t it?! And yeah, it’s holding up so well!
Thanks for the info. Great to know for Christmas shopping for my fellow bookworms!
You’re so welcome! Thanks so much for commenting! The fellow bookworks will love these bookmarks! 😀
Feedback on your new “Bookish Item” review–I loved it!. First, there is the cute animation that pulled me right in. I like your good photo of the product and links I could follow to get to the product easily. The fact that you had used it a while obviously impressed other readers as well as me. Most importantly, I didn’t feel like you were trying to sell me something. It was more the feeling of friends chatting about a great new purchase–very homey and comfortable. On the Etsy site I saw several items (all book related) that I would love to have. Your format is great; I wouldn’t change a thing!
Thank you so much for the feedback! And it appears that I came across exactly how I wanted to. Just sharing my experience with a product with friends, rather than trying to sell a product. I am immensely grateful that you took the time to write this feedback for me! 🙂
Such an adorable bookmark! The shark one too 🙂
I will definitely be checking the store out ^^
Aren’t they so cute?! And that’s awesome!! 😀 Thanks for reading and commenting!
I love my weighted cord bookmarks. They always keep the place and the book still lies flat. And you have the dangly ends to remind you where you are.
