Happy Friday Junior, and Backlist Blast day! Also, I’m so happy to see that so many of you have decided to join Backlist Blast, and in order to make your post for this meme more visible (and your blogs, Instagram, or Twitter accounts too), I have decided to add a link-up form/widget to the bottom of every Backlist Blast post from now on! So, don’t forget to add your links to the form, so that all readers can see your posts.
– About the Meme –
Backlist Blast is a meme created by Milana from A Couple Reads and myself, and is meant to encourage book bloggers to feature and talk about backlist books (meaning books that were published 6 months ago, or earlier). We all get excited about all of the newest books coming out, but many of us also have a looming TBR of books published 6 months ago or earlier that we still need to read! The main purpose of this meme is to talk about those books, and remember why we wanted to read them in the first place. Another purpose is for readers to find out about awesome backlist books that they might have never heard of before! For more information on the meme, and for optional themes, please see the info page here.

Type: Fiction
Genre: YA, Science Fiction, Dystopia, Romance
Publisher: Simon Pulse (Simon & Schuster)

Jason Zhou survives in a divided society where the elite use their wealth to buy longer lives. The rich wear special suits that protect them from the pollution and viruses that plague the city, while those without suffer illness and early deaths. Frustrated by his city’s corruption and still grieving the loss of his mother, who died as a result of it, Zhou is determined to change things, no matter the cost.
With the help of his friends, Zhou infiltrates the lives of the wealthy in hopes of destroying the international Jin Corporation from within. Jin Corp not only manufactures the special suits the rich rely on, but they may also be manufacturing the pollution that makes them necessary.
Yet the deeper Zhou delves into this new world of excess and wealth, the more muddled his plans become. And against his better judgment, Zhou finds himself falling for Daiyu, the daughter of Jin Corp’s CEO. Can Zhou save his city without compromising who he is or destroying his own heart?

Welcome to the new link-up feature! Please link up your Backlist Blast post specific to this week, rather than your blog or social media account in general. You can either share a blog post, an Instagram post, or a tweet from Twitter on here (or all 3 if you so desire)!
This actually sounds like my cup of tea! I am surprised I have not seen it floating around.
I’m surprised too! I saw it EVERYWHERE right before it came out, and then also once it was published!
It is possible I just do not remember right now. The cover looks familiar but not the title
Oooo gotcha!
My backlist TBR is huuuge. I bought a bunch of books 3-4 years ago, and my shelves are overflowing with older titles I haven’t read yet. Want’s definitely on my wishlist!!! So excited for the POC rep in here, plus I’ve seen awesome things about it!
