Happy Monday everyone! And also happy #ARCstravaganza day! This week I’m featuring a book that I wish I’d known about before its release! I was really beating myself up for not having asked for an ARC of this from the publisher when it was offered to me. But I hadn’t even recognized the cover! Shame on me. Anyway, I was very lucky to have been offered an ARC by Chapters/Indigo almost a month after the book released. I plan to read and review this book by the end of this year, and suuuuuper excited!
For those of you coming across this meme for this first time, it was originally created by Krysti at YA and Wine, and hosted by her, and Sarah at The Clever Reader. Due to personal circumstances, however, they have had to let it go. We were all very sad to see the meme go, but then Krysti asked me if I wanted to take it over, and I said yes!
For those of you unfamiliar with #ARCstravaganza, it’s a meme meant to encourage book bloggers to show off and discuss their ARCs (advanced reader copies)! If this sounds like something for you, please check out the info page about the meme here. Another change is that #ARCstravaganza participants can share their posts on their blogs, Instagram, or Twitter (or all three)! Please just be sure to tag your social media posts with the hashtag, or share a link to your blog post on my blog post for each week, so that we can find it!

Time flies when you’re plundering history.
Farway Gaius McCarthy was born outside of time. The son of a time-traveling Recorder from 2354 AD and a gladiator living in Rome in 95 AD, Far’s birth defies the laws of nature. Exploring history himself is all he’s ever wanted, and after failing his final time-traveling exam, Far takes a position commanding a ship with a crew of his friends as part of a black market operation to steal valuables from the past.
But during a heist on the sinking Titanic, Far meets a mysterious girl who always seems to be one step ahead of him. Armed with knowledge that will bring Far’s very existence into question, she will lead Far and his team on a race through time to discover a frightening truth: History is not as steady as it seems.
This one is SO good!! I’ve been obsessed with anything Ryan Graudin for years. She takes my favourite genre (historical fiction) and spins it into something so unique and original. She’s absolutely one of a kind!
YAY! I love that I keep hearing that! I’ve had her Wolf by Wolf book on my TBR for like ever. I find it hard to read about war times…but I might make an exception since you like her books so much 😀
Her other book The Walled City was my favourite of hers, though Wolf by Wolf was a close second
Ohhh… I’ve never even heard of The Walled City! Will have to check it out 😉
I still need to read this! It sounds so fascinating!
Hehe same boat! Hopefully we’ll both get to read it ASAP!
This was a really good read. I was lucky enough to meet Ryan Graudin at BookExpo and get my ARC signed. I both like and dislike that it is a standalone though.
Oh wow that’s so cool! Lucky girl
I was thinking about it today and I am very lucky, and so thankful for all the opportunities I have been given, particularly when it comes to books.
🙂
