Happy Monday everyone! And also happy #ARCstravaganza day! This week I won’t be featuring the ARC of a future release, but rather a past one. Due to this being a book that I was sent without being given a heads up (haha, happens quite a bit), my reading schedule has been too full to read it around the pub date…or for the months that followed. But, I will be reading this book in November! So if you were curious about it, or this is the first time you’re hearing about it, please keep an eye out for my review!
For those of you coming across this meme for this first time, it was originally created by Krysti at YA and Wine, and hosted by her, and Sarah at The Clever Reader. Due to personal circumstances, however, they have had to let it go. We were all very sad to see the meme go, but then Krysti asked me if I wanted to take it over, and I said yes!
For those of you unfamiliar with #ARCstravaganza, it’s a meme meant to encourage book bloggers to show off and discuss their ARCs (advanced reader copies)! If this sounds like something for you, please check out the info page about the meme here. Another change is that #ARCstravaganza participants can share their posts on their blogs, Instagram, or Twitter (or all three)! Please just be sure to tag your social media posts with the hashtag, or share a link to your blog post on my blog post for each week, so that we can find it!

In a stratified society where contact with the sun is a luxury reserved for the elite, those kept prisoner in the darkness will do anything to find the light. Arden—beautiful, street-smart, and cynical—is one of the citizens of the lowest Level, known as Undercity, of an off-world colony. A blackout band traps Arden in her district, but as sister to the leader of the most powerful gang in Undercity, she has access to Above.
There she meets Dade, one of the few lucky enough to be born into the sun-kissed families who reside in the Towers soaring above the rest of the city. But life isn’t perfect in the sky. Dade, desperate to escape his upcoming arranged marriage, has a secret of his own, and he’s willing to risk everything for it.
An unlikely romance develops between the two teens—but their love faces opposition from above and below. When her gang pressures Arden to help break the grip of the elite and end Dade’s interference with their drug trade, she is forced to make a deadly choice between love and family loyalty. But will the brewing class war destroy the world around them first?
I found your blog through a twitter thread and OMG I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! Your graphics are so gorgeous and ahhh I’m in love <3 Also this sounds like a super interesting novel! I'm all for crazy societies and forbidden love! Adding it to my TBR rightaway!
Oh yay! And thank you so much! 😀 ❤ And the book does sound interesting, doesn’t it?!
That cover is rather striking, and the story does sound interesting, but it also sounds like so many other “star-crossed lover” YA books out there.
I totally agree. I do like star-crossed lover plots though 😉 so we’ll see how I feel about it once I’ve read it, hehe.
