Happy Monday, my lovelies! Or rather, Happy ARCstravaganza day (as I’ve come to call it)! Um wow. So, as some of you may know, Canadian Thanksgiving was yesterday, so most Canadians had the Monday off. Due to working on Saurday (until about 8 pm) and then having Monday off….all day yesterday, I was under the impression that it was Sunday! I had this post prepped, and just had to add the Insta photo before scheduling it. But I was all out of sorts, and my mental clock is all out of whack! So, here it is today, one day late, because I’m a confused scatterbrain! Haha. Sorry! To learn more about the meme, please continue reading to see the info below, and continue past that to read more about my ARC choice for this week!
For those of you coming across this meme for this first time, it was originally created by Krysti at YA and Wine, and hosted by her, and Sarah at The Clever Reader. Due to personal circumstances, however, they have had to let it go. We were all very sad to see the meme go, but then Krysti asked me if I wanted to take it over, and I said yes!
For those of you unfamiliar with #ARCstravaganza, it’s a meme meant to encourage book bloggers to show off and discuss their ARCs (advanced reader copies)! If this sounds like something for you, please check out the info page about the meme here. Another change is that #ARCstravaganza participants can share their posts on their blogs, Instagram, or Twitter (or all three)! Please just be sure to tag your social media posts with the hashtag, or share a link to your blog post on my blog post for each week, so that we can find it!

Synopsis: Before
Mira Minkoba is the Hopebearer. Since the day she was born, she’s been told she’s special. Important. Perfect. She’s known across the Fallen Isles not just for her beauty, but for the peace treaty named after her, an agreement which united the seven islands against their enemies on the mainland.
But Mira never felt perfect. She counts compulsively. She struggles with crippling anxiety. And she’s far too interested in dragons for a girl of her station.
After
Then Mira discovers an explosive secret that challenges everything she and the treaty stand for. Betrayed by the very people she spent her life serving, Mira is sentenced to the Pit—the deadliest prison in the Fallen Isles. There, a cruel guard would do anything to discover the secret she would die to protect.
No longer beholden to those who betrayed her, Mira must learn to survive on her own and unearth the dark truths about the Fallen Isles—and herself—before her very world begins to collapse.
I just read this book a few weeks ago and loved it!
Yay that’s so good to hear! Thanks for reading and commenting!
YES!!! this was such a solid start to the Fallen Isles Trilogy! I am really looking forward to its follow-up & of course hoping for more dragons! 🙂
Yaaay! If you liked it I’m sure that I will too 🙂
This book came in my September OwlCrate book and I am looking forward to reading it. Of course I think the OwlCrate exclusive cover for this one is actually nicer than the original cover. Using gold instead of silver really just makes it stand out even more.
Gorgeous pics! I adored this book! Definitely one of my favorites from the summer. 🙂
Thank you, Krysti! And that’s so good to hear! I’m excited to read it 😀
