This cookbook was very well-put together. It is evident that a team of people with a high aesthetic were in charge of selecting fonts, colours, images, etc. etc. etc. It was really a pleasure to read this book, or even just flip through it. The manner in which the recipes in this book are categorized was very helpful because it’s easy to find the type of recipe that you’re looking for, such as pies vs. cookies for example.

I am a big fan of cookbooks that are bound with a hardcover binding, because let’s be real, cookbooks spend a good amount of their time in kitchens, and kitchens can be very messy places! At least, my kitchen is. I tend to spill ingredients everywhere, especially when I’m in a rush, and a paperback cookbook might not survive in this kind of kitchen very long. Tanya Bakes is strongly bound, and the pages are thick and glossy. I like that the interior was also very pretty, and it was pleasing for me to look at, whether I’m actually looking for a recipe, or just flipping through.

Overall, I think that this book is great for fans of Tanya Burr, as well as people who like to bake, or would like to start baking. Even if you don’t bake and just want to look at pretty pictures of cookies, and cakes, and loafs, or you collect cook books, this book is definitely for you!
