This review may be shorter, because I have read a sample of Wink Poppy Midnight before receiving the Spring 2016 Penguin Teen Preview Sampler, and I have already bought this book (so I will be doing a full review of the book SOON).

April Genevieve Tucholke’s writing is very unique. I guess that the best word to describe it (if I had to pick a word), is raw. Her writing is also exceptionally good.

The characters resonate from the pages from the very first word, and with very little descriptive language, Tucholke has painted the image for the setting in which Wink Poppy Midnight takes place.

I cannot wait to see what happens to Wink, Midnight, and Poppy, and I definitely recommend this book.
