Hey everyone! And happy Wednesday! I’m definitely having a lot of fun with Waiting on Wednesday, so you can expect for me to participate in this meme for quite some time! I’m super excited to share this week’s book with all of you because it’s written by a Canadian aaaand takes place in Toronto (which is a city that I have visited often)! I look forward to recognizing some of the locations in The Matchmaker’s List because that doesn’t happen very often for me with the books that I read, and I’m also excited to read this book because I love to read about romance, and absolutely adore rom-coms!
“Can’t-Wait Wednesday [or Waiting on Wednesday] is a weekly meme hosted [by] Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. If you’re continuing with WOW, feel free to link those up as well! Find out more here.”

One devoted modern girl + a meddlesome, traditional grandmother = a heartwarming multicultural romantic comedy about finding love where you least expect it.
Raina Anand may have finally given in to family pressure and agreed to let her grandmother play matchmaker, but that doesn’t mean she has to like it–or that she has to play by the rules. Nani always took Raina’s side when she tried to push past the traditional expectations of their tight-knit Indian-immigrant community, but now she’s ambushing Raina with a list of suitable bachelors. Is it too much to ask for a little space? Besides, what Nani doesn’t know won’t hurt her…
As Raina’s life spirals into a parade of Nani-approved bachelors and disastrous blind dates, she must find a way out of this modern-day arranged-marriage trap without shattering her beloved grandmother’s dreams.

I can not wait to read On The Come Up by Angie Thomas. It might be one of the first books I read in February, I preordered it on my Nook. This book looks really cute.
Oh cool! I haven’t read anything by Angie yet haha
It took me almost a month to get The Hate U Give from the library, the wait was so worth it though.
Ahhhh I got a copy of it last Christmas but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. My backlist TBR is SCARY
Ooh, I unhauled a bunch of books that were on my backlist TBR, so mine isn’t too bad.
Hahaha I’ve already done that too but it’s still scary. I need to make more time for them this year.
