Top Ten Tuesday (#26): Top Ten Most Anticipated Books For The Second Half of 2017

toptentuesday2
Hello everyone! It’s definitely been a while, hehe. For those of you who don’t know, I’ve been traveling through Japan and South Korea from May 10th until tomorrow, and have therefore had absolutely no time to write posts for my blog! There was also an issue involving my 3 prong laptop plug, and the fact that there are only 2 prong plug holes here, haha. When I bought a plug converter for Korea though, there happened to be an extension for Japanese plugs too, so here I am. I’ve been mainly chilling out for the last 2 days, spending time with my friends before I head back home, because I do not know when I will be able to see them again. Since they’re at work right now though, and I’ve finished packing for now, I thought that I would enjoy a cold glass of water and sit down to write a post for one of my favourite book memes, Top Ten Tuesday!

For those of you who don’t know what Top Ten Tuesday is all about, here is a quote from The Broke and the Bookish, the genuises behind this weekly meme!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post and, if you want to, add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s posts (typically put up midnight EST on Tuesday) so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It’s a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

And now that all of the necessary stuff is out of the way….

  1. Hope you had a wonderful time in Japan and South Korea! You’ve made me so envious with your pictures on Instagram lol. I’m really excited for The Gentlemen’s Guide to Vice and Virtue as well! Historical Fiction with a bisexual MC? I’m in! I really want to read Nevernight but I don’t own it haha but excited for Godsgrave anyway. The covers are stunning. I just purchases Monstress Vol. 1 last month and the artwork looks beautiful! Good to know the next volume is coming out later this year!

    1. Thanks so much! I had a WONDERFUL time in both countries 😀 And I’m sorry haha my intent wasn’t to make people envious! Yes, Gentleman’s Guide sounds really good and different! Gahh I hope that you get to read Nevernight soon! Maybe you can read it and then Godsgrave right after 😉 that would make me jealous hehe. And gah, Monstress is so good! I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did when you get to it 🙂

        1. Hahaha okay good! And oooooo yes that makes me jealous now 😛 I was able to do that with 2 series this year, and it was so much better than having to wait a year between each book, hehe.

  2. OMYGOSH Flavia!!! so good to see you on here while traveling! hope you’ve been having a blast but just by looking at the photos, I’m pretty sure you’re having an amazing time 🙂
Now, I almost choked on my cracker while reading your TTT cuz I had NO idea Monstress Vol 2 was set to be released this July! GAHHHHH! so Happy, you’ve made may day all the way from Japan HAHA 😉

    1. Haha yaaaay! I was afraid that people had started forgetting who I was, because I’d been so quiet XD And I definitely had the most amazing time ever! And I’m sorry you choked on your cracker! But I’m glad that you’re just as excited for it as I am 😉 hehe. Thanks for reading and commenting! Your comments always make me smile 🙂

  3. Great list! I’m actually currently reading The Hundredth Queen and so far so good, I also have an ARC of Mask of Shadows as well! I have Godsgrave, Gentleman’s Guide, This Darkness Mine, Forest of a Thousand Lanterns, and The Last Magicians all on my TBR too and of course I’m excited for all of them as well!
I do have to say though I’m a little worried about The Last Magician because I wasn’t the biggest fan of Maxwell’s other book Unhooked, but fingers crossed!
I actually hadn’t heard of Zero Repeat Forever before but after reading the synopsis it’s going on my TBR now! 🙂

    1. Ahhhhh so glad to see that we have similar tastes! I’ve never read anything else by Maxwell, so I’m going in with a blank slate haha. But I hope that you’ll enjoy it more than Unhooked for sure!

Also I’m always happy to add to people’s TBR piles hehe. Why should only my pile look like a mountain?! Jk.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting! 😀

    1. YAY! Yeah those sound so awesome, right?! I’ll be sure to check out your post, and thanks so much for reading mine and leaving a comment! 😀

    1. Yaaay! That’s awesome 😀 I hope that those are all good books, for both of our sakes, hehe. And I definitely had a GREAT time! It’s good to be home, but I definitely miss Japan and Korea a LOT.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting!
