Top Ten Tuesday (#18): Top Ten Books I Liked More Than I Thought I Would

toptentuesday2

Soooo I’ve been sick for about 2 weeks now (although it feels like much longer), and I’ve therefore not had much time for meme posts. It also seems as if our host has been dealing with a lot of real life things too, because Top Ten Tuesday will sadly be on hiatus until March 7th! Nooooo. But real life things obviously have priority, and well all understand our host’s need to take it easy.

For those of you who don’t know what Top Ten Tuesday is all about, here is a quote from The Broke and the Bookish, the genuises behind this weekly meme!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list  that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post and, if you want to, add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s posts (typically put up midnight EST on Tuesday) so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It’s a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

Aaaaand this week’s prompt was kind of a choice between 2 things, but I will follow the meme host by doing 5 of one, and 5 of the other!

  1. Sorry to hear about your sickness! I didn’t know TTT was going to be on hiatus either, so thanks for the news. Hopefully things turn up soon for both you & the folks at The Broke & the Bookish.

Ruin and Rising exceeded my expectations as well, especially considering what a letdown Siege and Storm was IMO (I talked about it more in my TTT for this week). I personally didn’t enjoy The Assassin’s Game all that much, but it’s nice to hear that you did. Great list overall!

    1. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts! And thank you for the well wishes 🙂 I am a bit better today. And yes, Siege and Storm was a bit of a let down for me too, although I kind of expected it, since it’s the middle book in a trilogy. And, awe I’m sorry you didn’t like The Assassin’s Game.

I’ll be sure to check your post out!

      1. Glad to hear you’re feeling better! Siege and Storm had middle book syndrome something fierce. Bardugo’s duology was suuuuuch an improvement, and I’m wondering if it’s because Crooked Kingdom had a lot of the elements of a series ender vs a sequel. Either way I’m in love with it! <3

  2. Do you feel better this weekend? I sure hope so!
This was another great TTT idea. how do they always come up with such creative ideas? haha I wish I had that creativity x)

I haven’t read any of these books but Zeroes does look really good! I still remember the Uglies series (the 2 books I read from it :p) very fondly.
