Musing Monday (#16)

Boooo Monday! But yaaaay Musing Monday! What would I do without you, Musing Monday?! What are the things that help cheer you up on, or at least help get you through, Mondays?

ezgif-1545491241For those of you who don’t know, Musing Mondays is hosted by the awesome Ambrosia every Monday. This is a book blog meme where participants have to answer one of the pre-set prompts of (I’m currently reading…; Up next I think I’ll read…; I bought the following book(s) in the past week…; I’m super excited to tell you about (book/author/bookish-news)…; I’m really upset by (book/author/bookish-news)…; I can’t wait to get a copy of…; I wish I could read ___, but…; OR I blogged about ____ this past week…). And you also have to answer an additional random question which is different every week!

This week I’ll be answering one of the weekly prompts, before answering the random question for this week…

I’m super excited to tell you about:

Some of the books which I’ll be reading and reviewing over the next few months, as well as two of the books I was very recently (today, in fact) approved for! I can’t wait to get the in the mail! Seriously!

The book which I finished reading most recently. And it was so good! I’ll be writing a review for it either today or tomorrow, so keep an eye out!

The two novels which I am currently reading! I’ve been looking forward to both, for different reasons! Reviews coming soon!

I have been reading this comic for some weeks now, and not because it’s long. But rather, because it’s filled with such heart-breaking stories, that I can only handle a few pages at a time!

The second volume of Saga! I read the first volume digitally, and it just wasn’t the same. I can’t read comics digitally anymore. But when I saw that the library has these, I totally checked out 3 of them at once!

The sequel to The Undelightened, I’m so happy that Bentz Deyo (the author) sent me the second book before it came out! Due to my reading schedule I wasn’t able to dig in right away though!

Been looking forward to this book since I heard about it last year! I’ve heard mixed things, but I have a feeling that I may really enjoy this one!

This is the first book which I was approved for today! It was very short notice, as the book comes out t the end of February, but they’ll be sending me a copy and I’m so excited!

The cover and premise on this book both kind of give me the creeps, but in a good way! Hoping this will turn out to be one of the best YA thrillers of the year!

I was approved for this book like, halfway through last year (or so), but I’ve been unable to read it super early like I wanted to. I’ll be buddy reading this book with two of my blogger friends and am looking forward to it!

This is the type of book which I don’t normally read. Not because there is the promise of same sex relationships within, (I read plenty of those), but rather because it takes place at a con!

Aaaaand the first two books from the The Star-Touched Queen series! I’ve been meaning to read The Star-Touched Queen since last year, but never got to it. Now I’ll be marathoning both books!

And finally the second book which I was approved for today, and another book which takes place at a con! What is going on with the cons! It sounds very fun, though, and I’m very excited to read it!

The other thing which I am excited to tell you guys about is that our second monthly posts for our blog event Calendar Girls will be going live in JUST TWO DAYS! All are welcome to join us, and you can learn more about the event here! You can also see our January posts here and here! For those of you planning to join us, please remember that posts will be going live on February 1st (but that you can also post your posts throughout the rest of February if you can’t make it for the 1st). And also to please comment with a link to your post on either Melanie’s Calendar Girls February post or my own!

Also, just a reminder that the February theme is:

❤ BEST ROMANCE IN YA ❤

Note: What we mean by this theme is the best YA romance of all time (not just 2016 or something), in your opinion! And we also mean all sexualities and genders! This should be fun 😉

And now I will be answering this week’s random question:

Are there any books you are really eagerly waiting for in 2017?

Are there ever! But for the sake of space, and because I think I rambled enough earlier in this post, I’ll just stick to the book which I am looking forward to the very most!

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas!

I read the first two books last year in one go, and absolutely loved them! It’s been a long wait thus far, and there is still some waiting time to go. At least we have a title and cover reveal for now, to hold us over, at least. But we’ll see if I can stay sane until May 2nd!

THANK YOU FOR READING MY POST! I HOPE THAT ALL OF YOU JOIN CALENDAR GIRLS, AND THAT YOU ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SOME OF THE REVIEWS COMING UP IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS! WHICH BOOK OR BOOKS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2017?! LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW!

  1. You always have a slew of interesting books on the go Flavia! I always find at least one I want to add to my ever growing list.

I finally figured out which book I am going to write about for Wednesday.

    1. Oh my gosh I don’t blame you! I’d be at the window the entire time! It’s such a good book and the cover is just beautiful. I can’t wait to re-read it!
