TGIF! Yas! Well, it’s still the morning here, but the work week will be over soon…right? Right?! Anyway, here is my 11th Feature & Follow Friday post, and I’m having a lot of fun with this meme. You should all join us in posting every week!

Best and worst reads for 2016. Which would you recommend, which would you not?
This might be easier than I initially thought when first seeing the prompt! And without wasting any more time, I’ll just get right into it!
–RECOMMEND–
I don’t even know where to start with these! They were all just very good! The Clay Girl is literary fiction, and beautifully crafted. Nevernight has amazing world building and writing and plot. Monstress was beautifully rendered, and the plot is also very good, and intriguing! The Diabolic was just a fantastic space opera! Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is self-explanatory (it’s good, and a must-read for a Potterhead, even if Rowling didn’t write it!). A Court of Mist and Fury I think you’ve all heard me blab enough about. And finally And I Darken, a dark, historical story about Vlad the Impaler….if he were a girl! Lots of research and detail went into this book, and the main character is strong and badass!

you know, I think I only have one book that I really wouldn’t recommend, a few others that were iffy. That probably means I need to start expanding my reading ventures. (and stop re-reading…those darn books that call to you though!!)
Haha do not envy me for reading more books which I would NOT recommend though 😛 I have been exposed to a LOT of new authors, and types of stories in 2016 that I was not exposed to before though…
I wish I didn’t have ANY books that I would not recommend, and I feel terrible about even listing the ones that I did. I actually really struggled with hitting the “Publish” button on this post because of it D:
As someone who is working toward being a published author, I appreciate that! =) I feel like I’ve found my favorite genres and stuck with them instead of branching out like i intended to do.
And there’s nothing wrong with sticking with what you love! 🙂
A Court of Mist and Fury seems a popular one so must have been good. New follower via WP.

And yes it was very very good. I highly recommend the series if you like fantasy, fairtales, Fae, adventure, and romance 😉
Not genres I read a lot of but I have seen so many good reviews of some books that I thought this was the year to try some out. I’m developing a reading list to start me off and this will be going on it.
I agree about Wucaii being a disappointing read, but Nevernight seems interesting and I’ve heard a lot of great things about it!

I will definitely not recommend Ever the Hunted.At all.I am curious to read And I Darken though.I have heard mixed opinions.
