#ARCstravaganza #45: My Plain Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows

Happy Monday everyone! And also happy #ARCstravaganza day! This week I’ll be featuring a book that I really hoped would come into being after reading the other book by this author trio, and was very happy to find that my prayers had not only been answered, but that I also had the honour of receiving an ARC to read and review! I also wanted to let you all know that I have opted for adding a link-up at the bottom of each #ARCstravaganza post that I make, starting some weeks ago, where you can post links to your #ARCstravaganza blog, Insta, and Twitter posts for the week! I will provide an example Instagram post in the form as a guide.

– About the Meme –

For those of you coming across this meme for this first time, it was originally created by Krysti at YA and Wine, and hosted by her, and Sarah at The Clever Reader. Due to personal circumstances, however, they have had to let it go. We were all very sad to see the meme go, but then Krysti asked me if I wanted to take it over, and I said yes!

For those of you unfamiliar with #ARCstravaganza, it’s a meme meant to encourage book bloggers to show off and discuss their ARCs (advanced reader copies)! If this sounds like something for you, please check out the info page about the meme here. Another change is that #ARCstravaganza participants can share their posts on their blogs, Instagram, or Twitter (or all three)! Please just be sure to tag your social media posts with the hashtag, or share a link to your blog post on my blog post for each week, so that we can find it!

You may think you know the story. After a miserable childhood, penniless orphan Jane Eyre embarks on a new life as a governess at Thornfield Hall. There, she meets one dark, brooding Mr. Rochester. Despite their significant age gap (!) and his uneven temper (!!), they fall in love—and, Reader, she marries him. (!!!)

Or does she?

Prepare for an adventure of Gothic proportions, in which all is not as it seems, a certain gentleman is hiding more than skeletons in his closets, and one orphan Jane Eyre, aspiring author Charlotte Brontë, and supernatural investigator Alexander Blackwood are about to be drawn together on the most epic ghost hunt this side of Wuthering Heights.

– About the Authors –

Cynthia Hand is the New York Times bestselling author of the Unearthly series with HarperTeen: UNEARTHLY, HALLOWED, RADIANT (an enovella) and BOUNDLESS, and the NYT bestselling contemporary, THE LAST TIME WE SAY GOODBYE. She lives with her family in Idaho, where she teaches courses in creative writing at Boise State University. Her latest book, MY LADY JANE, (cowritten with Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows) was released on June 7, 2016. Her next novel, THE AFTERLIFE OF HOLLY CHASE, will hit shelves on October 24, 2017.

Brodi Ashton: I write Young Adult novels. I eat cinnamon bears. I love me some Diet Coke. My debut book EVERNEATH (the first in a trilogy) comes out Winter 2012 with Balzer and Bray (Harper Collins). I’m represented by Michael Bourret at Dystel and Goderich Literary Management.

Jodi Meadows: I like books. Reading them, writing, and admiring them as my bookshelves begin to bow. I command a ferret army. Are YOU ready for the revolution?

– Link-up –

Welcome to the new link-up feature! Please link up your #ARCstravaganza post specific to this week, rather than your blog or social media account in general. You can either share a blog post, an Instagram post, or a tweet from Twitter on here (or all 3 if you so desire)! I also welcome any feedback you might have!

THANKS SO MUCH FOR READING MY #ARCSTRAVAGANZA POST! WHICH OF YOUR ARCS (DIGITAL OR PHYSICAL) ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT? WHY? LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW!
