#ARCstravaganza (#12): All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater

Happy Monday, my lovelies! Or rather, Happy ARCstravaganza day (as I’ve come to call it)! And also, happy October aka. Halloween and Oktoberfest Month! Yaaaay. I love both Oktoberfest (mostly due to having grown up in a Germanic country, Austria), and Halloween for too many reasons to count! I mean…look at the Halloween-e-fied theme on here and on all of my other social media! Haha. I’m a bit obsessed maybe? But that’s okay, I think. You can read about my September wrap-up, and future plans for the blog here. But back to ARCstravaganza! To learn more about the meme, please continue reading to see the info below, and continue past that to read more about my ARC choice for this week!

For those of you coming across this meme for this first time, it was originally created by Krysti at YA and Wine, and hosted by her, and Sarah at The Clever Reader. Due to personal circumstances, however, they have had to let it go. We were all very sad to see the meme go, but then Krysti asked me if I wanted to take it over, and I said yes!

For those of you unfamiliar with #ARCstravaganza, it’s a meme meant to encourage book bloggers to show off and discuss their ARCs (advanced reader copies)! If this sounds like something for you, please check out the info page about the meme here. Another change is that #ARCstravaganza participants can share their posts on their blogs, Instagram, or Twitter (or all three)! Please just be sure to tag your social media posts with the hashtag, or share a link to your blog post on my blog post for each week, so that we can find it!

A miracle.

Here is a thing everyone fears:
What it takes to get one.

Any visitor to Bicho Raro, Colorado is likely to find a landscape of dark saints, forbidden love, scientific dreams, miracle-mad owls, estranged affections, one or two orphans, and a sky full of watchful desert stars.

At the heart of this place you will find the Soria family, who all have the ability to perform unusual miracles. And at the heart of this family are three cousins longing to change its future: Beatriz, the girl without feelings, who wants only to be free to examine her thoughts; Daniel, the Saint of Bicho Raro, who performs miracles for everyone but himself; and Joaquin, who spends his nights running a renegade radio station under the name Diablo Diablo.

They are all looking for a miracle. But the miracles of Bicho Raro are never quite what you expect.

Maggie Stiefvater has been called “a master storyteller” by USA Today and “wildly imaginative” by Entertainment Weekly. Now, with All the Crooked Saints, she gives us the extraordinary story of an extraordinary family, a masterful tale of love, fear, darkness, and redemption.

  1. I got this arc through #booksfortrade a spanking brand new copy from a fellow blogger & I can’t wait to read & see what it’s all about. Stiefvater is very much hit or miss for me so I’m very curios to see where this book lands with me 🙂

        1. Awe I hope that you read it! I really want to know what your opinion will be on it. I have no idea what to expect, and I probably won’t understand why the people who are upset are upset….because I’m not in their shoes, you know?

    1. Awe thank you so much! I wish that my following on there had moved since they changed the algorhythm though hahaha. My insta is gonna get left behind while my Twitter and blog grow. Oh well.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting! 😀
