Top Ten Tuesday (#35): Top Ten Books On My Winter TBR

toptentuesday-winter

Happy Tuesday everyone! I missed some Top Ten Tuesdays again, due to the prompts not really inspiring any lists for me, and also due to being busy. But I’m back now, and this is the first Top Ten Tuesday that I’ll be posting in this shiny, new .com version of my blog! It’s seriously still so unreal to me. Self-hosting has been a goal for me, from the beginning, but I had absolutely no idea that it would happen now! But, back to my Top Ten list for this week!

For those of you who don’t know what Top Ten Tuesday is all about, here is a quote from The Broke and the Bookish, the genuises behind this weekly meme!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post and, if you want to, add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s posts (typically put up midnight EST on Tuesday) so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It’s a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

…and now that all of the necessary stuff is out of the way….

  1. Congratulations on the dotcom! 🙂 I’m not familiar with many of the books on your list, but they look beautiful – and Whichwood (and now Furthermore) really intrigue me – I shall be investigating further 🙂

    My TTT

    1. Thank you so much! I’m super happy about the switch! 😀 And they are beautiful, aren’t they?

I hope that you end up reading and enjoying Whichwood AND Furthermore 😀

      Thank you for reading!

    1. Yeah I’ve heard such great things about SoC! I’m actually going to be hosting a readalong with it in December, and am super happy to be able to read and discuss it with others 🙂

Happy reading to you too! And thanks for reading my post!

  2. Great list!! I am DYING for The Cruel Prince!! Simply can’t wait! And I recently just won a signed copy of Invictus so that’ll be happening soon!

Congrats on self-hosting!! What inspired you to make that decision? I’m curious about the differences/added benefits!

    1. Thank you for reading!

Ohhhh you should definitely keep an eye out for my next giveaway then 😉 I’ll be giving away an ARC of The Cruel Prince! The giveaway starts this Friday 😉

Thank you so much! Self-hosting was definitely a long term goal for me since I started my Wrodpress.com blog. It was just a matter of WHEN it would happen. I have a lot more freedom in regard to space, as well as customizing my layout. Right now it’s exactly as it was on the wordpress.com version of the blog, but I’ll likely come up with something new in the Spring 🙂

      1. Oh my gosh! I might have stopped breathing after that winky emoji!!! I seriously just want this so bad lol! I’ll definitely be on the lookout for your giveaway!!

Thanks for answering my question about the self hosting. I know several bloggers that do, but haven’t ever got responses about why they did that instead of just sticking with a platform like wordpress. I look forward to seeing where your creativity takes you!

        1. Hehe awesome! And, good luck! 😉

Also, hmmm that’s odd. I am still using WordPress…but more on my own terms. If that makes sense. If you self-host, you can install WordPress, or whichever other base program is supported by your host. I wouldn’t recommend it if HTML isn’t you thing though….because in that sense, switching to self-hosted (at least the way I have), is as if someone has been holding your hand…and then they just let go… if that makes sense…haha.

  3. Congrats on the .com self-hosting really is kind of a blogging goal tbh
As for my winter tbr, I absolutely cannot wait for The Hazel Wood and The Cruel Prince, either! Also, I’m gonna pick up my first Adam Silvera novel, History is All You Left Me. Aaaand I’ve heard so many good things about The Bear and the Nightingale, so that’s somewhere on my endless tbr pile, too

    1. Yeeees! I’m actually so happy about it 😀

And yes! Those 2 sound so good. Also, I haven’t read anything by Silvera yet, but I do have a copy of They Both Die at the End…gah. I hope that I’ll get to that one soon.

Also I keep hearing about The Bear and the Nightingale! I was going to read it when it came out, but didn’t get a review copy…and kind of just went to the next thing in my TBR mountain lol

Happy reading! And thanks so much for reading and commenting on my post 🙂

      1. I actually thought I was the only one who hadn’t read any of his books, so I’m kinda glad you have yet to read a Silvera book, too.

        You’re absolutely welcome

          1. Definitely high five
I‘ve read Looking for Alaska years ago (seriously, I was like, thirteen) and I guess it was… okay? I didn’t really intend to read any of his other books, but I‘m kinda tempted to pick up Turtles All The Way Down

  4. I am so looking forward to Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston. I loved Geekerella, so I’m curious to see how this book goes. And I’m still really hoping that NetGalley approves my request for Love, Hate and Other Filters because it sounds like something everyone needs to read, much like The Hate U Give.

    1. Yessss same here! I loved the sci-fi world that she created for the TV show turned movie in Geekerella…so I have a feeling that Heart of Iron will be pretty amazing!

Also I agree about Love, Hate and Other Filters. The Hate U Give is on my TBR and I mean to read it as soon as I can!
