Top 10 Korean Dramas That I Need To Watch Next

Soon after publishing my post My Top Ten Favourite Korean Dramas I thought that it would be a good idea to make a post about the top 10 kdramas that I’d like to watch next! Sadly, it took me over 6 months to actually put a post together A) because I got caught up in other things, and B) because I actually took a bit of a break from watching kdramas. But I really want to get back into them now, and what better way to start than by compiling a list of the top 10 dramas I’d really like to see next? P.S. I also included which site you can watch each show on, and a link in each logo to each individual show! (For those of you with a Netflix membership, I can only see what’s available on Canadian Netflix, but I’ve heard that the Amerian version has a lot more kdramas, so definitely check there if you don’t have paid subscriptions to Dramafever or Viki and the show you want to watch is for premium members only!)

  1. I love the cute gif of Kookie with his little grabby hands 😀 I want to watch most of these as well!! I started Age of Youth 2 actually but haven’t made it past the second episode yet haha, though the first was hilarious! While You Were Sleeping looks SOO GOOD – I’m Not a Robot as well!! Gahhh

    1. Yaaaay! Isn’t it adorable?! He’s the cutest. Awe I hope that you’ll be able to get into Age of Youth 2 soon! It looks like it’ll be really good. And yeahhh super pumped for those! I don’t even know where to begin hahaha I feel so guilty when I watch TV cause I feel like I could be spending that time reading lmao

  2. Did someone said kdrama?? *pops out* I LOOOVE W! The first half was amazing and the middle lags a bit, but the ending was AWESOME! I’m currently watching While You Were Sleeping and Reply 1988, but I’ve been taking them slow ahaha. I have Weightlifting Fairy on my to watch list too! Great post Flavia! <3

    1. Yaaaaay another fan! Welcome welcome! And yeah I keep hearing the best things about W! And thanks for the heads up 🙂 There are actually so many dramas that I stopped watching halfway because they started getting too sad or they were lagging too much lol. I’m really curious about While You Were Sleeping! And I’ve seen Reply 1988 and really took my time with that one as well. Thanks so much! And thank you for reading! <3

        1. I haven’t watched the Moonlight now (and will have to look it up now hehe), and I’m about halfway through Descendants haha. I should probably finish it, eh? And yeahhh I think I cried a few times during Reply 1988 as well! XD

  3. “I’m Not A Robot” is so good! “Evergreen,” not so much… I don’t think it’s worth it. “W” is cute but I’m not convinced with the romance so far.

The dramas I’d recommend from last year are: School 2017 (you don’t need to watch the other School dramas) and Black.
School 2017 is a high school drama with a cute slow burn romance while Black is a drama, crime, mystery, thriller, supernatural drama. Literally all of the above.

    1. Ahhh that’s so good to hear! Too bad about Evergreen though haha…I might watch it just for the main actor lol. And oohhh I was thinking of watching School 2017…but I saw School 2013 and loved it, so was scared that it wouldn’t compare 😛 I’ll also have to go look up Black! Thank you! <3

  4. Aaaahhh!! Flavia, I see so many favorites. Legend of the Blue Sea, I am not a Robot, W and K2 but I think the best is I am Not a Robot. Hope you enjoy it.. I’m about to watch “Deserving of the Name”.. have you watched it?

  5. Kim Bok Joo is cute and funny! While You Were Sleeping, Uncontrollably Fond, and The Legend of the Blue Sea are my favs!! OH GOD Sensory Couple and Do Bong Soon are soooo good!! Have you watched Reply 1988? That’s my ultimate fav Reply!!!

    1. Yaaay that’s good to hear (read lol)! And yaaaas I loved Sensory Couple and Do Bong Soon <3 Also yeah I saw 1988 and really liked it, but my fave remains Reply 1997 ;) hehe

        1. Aweee well I hope you enjoy it this time around! And I stopped watching Pinocchio about halfway because I didn’t feel the chemistry between the 2 characters, have not heard of Fight My Way but will look it up, and I also stopped about halfway through She Was Pretty (but do intend on finishing soon haha)!

            1. I actually watched more of She Was Pretty yesterday after checking to see which episode I’d left off (episode 10 haha so more than halfway) 😀 I probably just needed a break from it. I also might make a post about all of the kdramas that I DNFd and see which ones are worth finishing 😛

    1. Yaaaay so good to hear that about W, The K2, and Weight Lifting Fairy! The bestie and I decided to watch The K2 next! 😀 And Evergreen I think only has a few eps out since it’s fairly new. And hope you get to finish Legend of the Blue Sea and While You Were Sleeping ASAP! <3 And awe thank you! And thanks for reading! I'll try to make more kdrama-themed posts from now on :D

  6. OMG!!! You should watch Weightlifting Fairy because it is so cute! And W is interesting as well but you might find it draggine and repetitive because the main conflict is solved at like episode 6, but if you get attached to the characters you might find the ending worth it

  7. I only started watching kdramas last July but oh my, aren’t they addictive! I’m currently watching W and loving it! While You Were Sleeping was such a great drama (second lead syndrome alert!!!), and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo and Uncontrollably Fond are huge favorites of mine. The latter has all the potential to leave you nursing a broken heart, though, so consider yourself warned! I wouldn’t recommend I Am Not A Robot, but it’s a good enough drama if you’re in the mood for something light. Hope you get around to these soon!
