– MY REVIEW –

If you have read my review for the first volume of this comic series, you will know that I absolutely loved it! As I mentioned in that previous review, the story is difficult to explain without giving anything away. And even if I were to explain it, I am not sure what I would categorize this story as, because I’m still quite unsure about certain elements within it. I have been left guessing, which is always a good thing for me, rather than something negative.

I was very happy to have the opportunity to read this issue before it’s release (today!), and while most of you know that I always prefer physical copies of books, to digital, asking for a issue of a comic book in print is impossible. Despite this, I devoured the digital version of this issue with just as much verve as the first volume in the series, and I cannot wait to see more of what this comic series has to offer!

Due to this issue being the opening issue of volume 2, it did not give us much information regarding the cliffhanger we were left with at the end of volume 1 (which is understandable), and it left me asking more questions than anything. This is a good thing though, because now I am eagerly awaiting the release of part 7 in the series! I also really enjoyed the mini comic at the end of part 6, about the comic contributors, and I ended up reading it twice because I found it so funny. I definitely recommend this comic, and I for one will be keeping an eye out for any other work from O’Malley, Hung, and Cohen!

  1. I have this little dance I do with Snot Girl every time I’m at Strand Bookstore “Should I get it? Should I not?” lol! I think part of the reason I haven’t picked up vol1 yet is because I have some GN’s at home that I need to actually read but I can’t help staring at the artwork *gahhHHH* smh. You’ve managed to convince me Flavia, def p/u a copy on my next run & that’s pretty awesoem that you were able to read an early chapter 😉

    1. Hahaha I totally just pictured you doing that dance! I get it too, because I’m the same way about certain books when I’m at the store. Luckily I can rely on my book buying ban to make me stop from buying anything (haha). I’m so happy that you’ll be getting this though, and I really hope you like it! I’d feel quite crummy if you bought it because of me and then absolutely hated it, haha.

And yeah, I was very happy about that! I’ll be able to read and review chapters ahead of time as they’re published now! So I’m quite pumped 😀

      1. It looks like something I would love so I wouldn’t worry too much Flavia LOL! and I think i’m on a book buying ban unknowingly cuz I have yet to buy a book this month. Usually by the 7th. of any mth I’d already have about 3 books hauled *for shame* lol! I say this now but I know on the 11th. this ban will go out the window haha!
