How we met: I forget exactly how I found this seller, as I bought this bookmark sometime in March or April of this year. There may have been an advertisement, or I may have been browsing eBay for bookish things (as I have a tendency to when I have some spare money, haha). But in either case, it was insta-love. The designs and the work which went into the intricate detail in my bookmark (as well as the others listed by the seller), really impressed me. The struggle here was not whether I should buy one of these beautiful bookmarks, but rather, which one to choose.

Our time together: I am sad to say that this bookmark has not seen the inside of any books yet. It’s been sitting on my bookshelf for months now, looking very very pretty. Therefore I cannot vouch for it holding up as an actual bookmark, but I can say that although the work is delicate, it is sturdily made. The metal is thin enough to make the bookmark light, and for it to look tasteful, but it’s also not paper-thin. The metal also has not changed colour in any way, and non of the pain has chipped off. The string which came attached to the bookmark is also of good quality, and its colour also has lost none of its vibrancy.

I therefore recommend this artist’s work for those who actively use their bookmarks, as well as those who own some bookmarks which they would rather put on display.
