Feature & Follow Friday (#10)

feature-and-follow.png

Happy New Year everyone! I am sad that I was unable to participate in the last Feature & Follow Friday of 2016, but I’m back to participating now! Things were just a little too insane at the end of the year…gah.

This weekly meme is hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee.com, and you can find all of the details in her most recent Feature & Follow post! But basically, people post in responses to a prompt every week, and then people vote on each others’ posts until the following Friday. The person with the most votes, is chosen as the next week’s feature!

And this week’s prompt is:

ezgif-com-2c4213a34bWhat is your most anticipated book of 2017?

I thought that this question would be difficult to answer, but when I really thought about it, my response came to me quite easily!

The book which I am most looking forward to in 2017 is….

(and this should come as no surprise for some of my long-time followers)

Yupp. That’s right. And I’m not even ashamed of it. While I’m aware that the ACOTAR series is kind of lacking in diversity, I still enjoy it for the good story that it is. Maybe I’m just easy to fool, or maybe it’s because I’m new to Maas’s writing, but I did not find the plot to be predictable at all. It’s a story that’s gotten me hooked, and I cannot contain the excitement I feel for A Court of Wings and Ruin to come out on May 2nd!

ezgif-com-f87873d731DID YOU PARTICIPATE IN THIS WEEK’S FEATURE & FOLLOW FRIDAY? WHICH 2017 RELEASE ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO?! I WANT TO KNOW! SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS IN THE COMMENTS BELOW!

  1. Me too, I enjoy escaping into the Maas world. I don’t see predictability or lack of diversity, I see a world the author had developed very thoroughly, and continues to develop. So I’m with you, it’s my most anticipated release of 2017 , it’s soooo long until May

    1. Yay, so glad you agree! I’ve seen some people hate on it because it’s lacking in diversity, and it makes me sad. Glad we agree and we’re anticipating the same book most! 😀

  2. I’ve had the first books of Maas’s two series on my tbr for ages, but not got round to reading either of them yet. The book club I attend is full of fans of her work, so it’s something I really need to get to! My most anticipated book is probably All About Mia by Lisa Williamson, which is out in the UK in February. I absolutely adored her debut, The Art of Being Normal, and I’ve been waiting 2 years for her next book!

    1. Ahhh well I can’t vouch for Throne of Glass, as it’s been on my TBR for some time too and I don’t know how it is. But The ACOTAR series is great! 😀

And I have not heard of this author yet! I will have to look her up 🙂

  3. I plan to start reading this series soon! 😀 I can relate to what you’ve said in regards to Throne of Glass, though, which is why I definitely want to read not only its sequels, but also A Court of Thorns and Roses.
