Seven weeks of Down the TBR Hole?! How?! Where did the time go?! Haha. This week was more successful than last week in regard to purging, although not by much. I still feel successful though. But anyway, while participating in this weekly meme, I’ve been able to remove some books from my TBR list, and while I’ve kept more than I’ve gotten rid of, I at least remembered why those that I kept had made it onto the list in the first place! This meme is seriously awesome! Keep reading to see which books will be staying, and which will be going this week!

Down The TBR Hole is a meme that revolves around cleansing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there.

Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change!

It works like this:

• Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
• Order on ascending date added.
• Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
• Read the synopses of the books
• Decide: keep it or should it go?

Holly Black’s The Poison Eaters

I actually forgot that this book excised! It sounds dark, creepy, and just awesome. I love Holly Black’s writing, and the tone and components of her stories. I’ve never read any of her short stories before, so I’m curious, and I think that they’ll be darkly satisfying! So, this book is definitely:

Nicole Castroman’s Blackhearts

At first glance, I was going to remove this book from my “to read” list, because just from looking at the cover … I didn’t really get an emotional reaction, or an urge to read it. So, I scrolled through the reviews, curious about the ratings, and saw that someone had used a GIF showing a pirate fight, which is when I remembered this book has pirates in it! So, it’s:

Heidi Heilig’s The Girl From Everywhere

As you can see, on the day that I added this book and the previous one to my “to read” list, I was in a boat/ship book mood? I’m surprised that Passenger isn’t on this section of my TBR list, hahaha. I have the urge to remove this one too, but know that I’ll regret it when I’m really in the mood to read about sea voyaging, therefore, it’ll be:

Ryan Graudin’s Wolf by Wolf

I don’t really read books about WWII (or watch movies about it) because that war in particular, makes me cry like a baby. War in general makes me cry, but yeah WWII … there’s just something about it. But, something about this book really intrigues me, and I’ve had a few people recommend this book, so it’s:

V.E. Schwab’s Vicious

I added like all of Schwab’s books to my TBR back in 2016 (the ones that were out at the time anyway), before I’d even read any of her books. Since then, I’ve read This Savage Song (which was very sadly disappointing for me), and also A Darker Shade of Magic (which I liked more, but also wasn’t as amazing as my expectations had … expected). So, unless someone in the comments really convinces me, this one will be:
