Some of you may have noticed that I really failed at posting after Tuesday this week. It’s because work got a little crazy, and I was out of town on Thursday, lots of driving … I was pooped to say the least. Normally these Down the TBR Hole posts go up on my blog on Fridays, but since I failed to write and post it yesterday, and because I feel like I owe you guys (plus I hosted a poll in one of my Insta stories, haha), I thought that I would write and post it for you guys today! I’m glad that this way I can also still participate in Down the TBR Hole, because I really can’t think of a more entertaining way to clean up the insanity that is my TBR shelf! Keep reading to see which books will be staying, and which will be going this week!

Down The TBR Hole is a meme that revolves around cleansing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there.

Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change!

It works like this:

• Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
• Order on ascending date added.
• Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
• Read the synopses of the books
• Decide: keep it or should it go?

Marie Rutkoski’s The Winner’s Curse

I own this book, and even though I bought it 2ish years ago and haven’t picked it up yet (I’m sorry!), I am still intrigued by the plot. So this book is definitely:

Renee Ahdieh’s The Rose & the Dagger

While I normally don’t have sequels to books that that I haven’t read yet on my TBR list, I own the first book, and this one as well. I received them as guests because I’d had them on my wishlist. I knew I’d love them, so yeah, it’s 100%:

Samuel Archibald’s Arvida

My initial instinct with this one was to let it go, but then I read the Goodreads blurb again, and my attention was caught by these words: “Finalist for the 2015 Giller Prize,” “stories of innocent young girls and wild beasts, attempted murder and ritual mutilation, haunted houses and road trips heading nowhere,” plus…. Canadian culture! So, now it’s definitely:

Audrey Greathouse’s The Neverland Wars

The mixed reviews on this one almost made me get rid of it, but I am still intrigued by the story. When will I be able to get around to reading it though? Especially since I don’t own a copy, am not sure if I want to buy, and my library doesn’t carry it. It’s tough, but I’ll go with my intuition on this one. It’s:

Kat Lehmann’s Moon Full of Moons

I’ve been failing at reading more poetry like I’d planned to. Sigh. I will have to try harder! Maybe if I stopped requesting so many ARCs… hahaha. But I’m going to judge my instinct about this book (plus it has high rating), and I’m obsessed with the moon right now, so it’ll be:
