Currently Reading, Watching, Trying (#2)

ezgif-1-0cca031349I hadn’t really decided whether I would post these on specific days, or whether it’d be weekly, bi-weekly, or whenever. But so as to keep the content as fresh as possible, I might just post them when the things I’m reading, watching, and trying change up a bit, (and also when I have time), since there’s no point in making two or more posts about the same content. Right? I know that readers usually prefer that there be a schedule, or at least a regularity to how posts go live, but even though I’m quite organized as a person, that side of me seems not to apply to blogging at all. But a lot of you are still around, so I don’t feel like a total failure, haha. Thank you so much for all of your support!

– CURRENTLY READING –

I’ve been reading a little less lately. I think that I kind of overdid it in January and February and needed to slow down a bit this month in order to prevent a…hiatus? I don’t think that’s the word I’m looking for, but I’ve been sitting here for 10 minutes trying to find the word I want, and can’t put my finger on it. Feel free to tell me how dumb I am in the comments, and also share the word with me if you think you know what I mean, haha. But yes, I’ve been reading The Star-Touched Queen, and very slowly at that. The audio book of The Glittering Court I borrowed from my local library expired, so that’s been put on hold, and I’ve been listening to Japanese audio books in preparation for my trip to Japan in May anyway. Sorry, I feel as if I mention my trip a lot…but I’m just so excited!

– CURRENTLY WATCHING –

I’m still watching Goblin: The Great and Lonely God with my bestie, and it’s taking us a while to get through just because we can usually only meet up for a few hours once a week (if that!) It’s a very very good drama, and if I were watching it on my own, I think I would have already binge-watched it to the end. There’s a mix of present time, historical, fantasy, and romance. So, so good. Then, on my own I’m also still watching Scarlet Heart: RyeoMoon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, which is also quite good! I binge-watched it up to episode 13 in just a few days, and then had to take a break and watch something set in present-time for a change. I really need to brush up on my Korean, because 1) I was sad about forgetting it bit by bit, and 2) because I’ll be in Seoul for a week in May as well and it would be handy if I re-learned at least a little. Thus, I started watching Age of Youth, which is set in present-time Seoul, and is about the lives of five college girls. It’s very funny, cute, relevant…and just good. I binge watch it while doing the mindless parts of my job, and it’s really made me think about life in a way that I haven’t in a while. It’s very refreshing. Sources: I am watching both of these shows on www.dramafever.com! That is my go-to place for drama-watching (and I have a paid account for some years now) even though I used to be a www.viki.com girl only! Now I only go on Viki when Dramafever is down, although both sites are good!

  1. I’m about halfway through The Star-Touched Queen right now! It’s quite something, but I’m enjoying it so far.

I wouldn’t stress about not doing a “Currently” feature on a regular schedule. I agree, it makes a lot more sense to do it when you’ve got something new to talk about! 🙂

    1. Ahh that’s awesome! Do you think you’ll be reading the second book right after?

And I’m so glad you agree 🙂 thanks so much for reading!
