#ARCstravaganza #50: Sea Witch by Sarah Henning

Happy Monday everyone! And also happy #ARCstravaganza day! I know that many of us have been very excited for the release of the book that I selected for this week, and it will finally be coming out next week! Yay! The wait is over! I also wanted to let you all know that some weeks ago, I opted for adding a link-up at the bottom of each #ARCstravaganza post that I make, where you can post links to your #ARCstravaganza blog, Instagram, and Twitter posts for the week! I will provide an example Instagram post in the link-up widget as a guide every week.

– About the Meme –

For those of you coming across this meme for this first time, it was originally created by Krysti at YA and Wine, and hosted by her, and Sarah at The Clever Reader. Due to personal circumstances, however, they have had to let it go. We were all very sad to see the meme go, but then Krysti asked me if I wanted to take it over, and I said yes!

For those of you unfamiliar with #ARCstravaganza, it’s a meme meant to encourage book bloggers to show off and discuss their ARCs (advanced reader copies)! If this sounds like something for you, please check out the info page about the meme here. Another change is that #ARCstravaganza participants can share their posts on their blogs, Instagram, or Twitter (or all three)! Please just be sure to tag your social media posts with the hashtag, or share a link to your blog post on my blog post for each week, so that we can find it!

Everyone knows what happens in the end.
A mermaid, a prince, a true love’s kiss.
But before that young siren’s tale, there were three friends.
One feared, one royal, and one already dead.

Ever since her best friend, Anna, drowned, Evie has been an outcast in her small fishing town. A freak. A curse. A witch.

A girl with an uncanny resemblance to Anna appears offshore and, though the girl denies it, Evie is convinced that her best friend actually survived. That her own magic wasn’t so powerless after all. And, as the two girls catch the eyes—and hearts—of two charming princes, Evie believes that she might finally have a chance at her own happily ever after.

But her new friend has secrets of her own. She can’t stay in Havnestad, or on two legs, unless Evie finds a way to help her. Now Evie will do anything to save her friend’s humanity, along with her prince’s heart—harnessing the power of her magic, her ocean, and her love until she discovers, too late, the truth of her bargain.

The rise of Hans Christian Andersen’s iconic villainess is a heart-wrenching story of friendship, betrayal, and a girl pushed beyond her limits—to become a monster.

Sarah lives in Lawrence, Kansas, which, despite being extremely far from the beach, happens to be pretty cool.

    1. I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t love it! And yeah I could see the pacing becoming an issue. And oh gosh I’m so glad that you liked the conclusion because I’m kind of scared to see how it send lol

    1. Right! I saw that you wrote your review but haven’t read it yet because I haven’t written my own review yet (and I’m struggling with what to say, which is why I haven’t written or posted it yet lol)
